Life is Hard

Life is hard.
I know that, but it still catches me off guard.
Life has left my brain, my thoughts, and my skin scarred.
Sometimes I wonder how much longer until I'm in a graveyard?

And I am not throwing my life away
I genuinely feel like I can’t meet life midway
I feel like i’m a failure cause I can’t even make it through the school day
The anxiety and depression makes me see no other way

Is this who I am?
Just a person for physiatrists to exam
Bouncing from program to program
Just another statistic and eventually a sad story on the news, god damn!

But I say this to myself, It's going to be ok.
But I mean that's what they all say
But please give yourself some leeway
It is ok to let yourself have a moment or a day

So just remember that when life catches you off guard,
When life has left you scared,
When you are thinking about being in a graveyard,
Just remember life is hard.
