Where Are You?
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Early in the morning when it is still dark;
The birds start singing and they sing all day long.
They sing praise and honor and glory to God all day long,
But they begin while it is still dark.
This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
Where are you? I know it's still dark where you are.
But if you know the day is coming,
Why don’t you sing?
I know where you are and I Am with you always,
Even to the end of the age! Why aren’t you singing?
Rejoice in me and I will rejoice in you.
You know I love you!
Even if you can’t see it because of the darkness,
I still love you!
