The Choice

As the Moon dragged behind her, holding secrets she's not ready to learn

She approaches the gate to move onward, the key in the lock has turned

Closing her eyes to connect within, to say a silent prayer

For strength and appropriate timing to be sure of a love so rare

She clutches her cloak tightly to control the pounding of her heart

From emotions embracing this journey after years of being apart

She lets go of worry and anxiety, she severs the chains of all lost in doubt

As peace fills her from within, driving the energy of the negative out

Balancing the concept of time, with lessens learned and dreams awakened

She leaves the past where it belongs in its space is the choice she has taken.
