Dark Tango

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

You dumped me,
before i dumped you

You screwed me out of spite

Reciting poisoned poetry

Something like, a

Dark tango

Taking each step

progressively
Stepping hard and fast

Into our protected realm of intimacy

Destroying everything

We worked so hard together
To achieve

Until i broke into tears,
Got angry and walked away

You tried to make me
Regret the day i met you,

Something
You could not achieve without me

i own the rights on loving you

Nothing i would not do, for you

You’re stressing
Just not good enough?

As opposed to, what course
You have proposed

What, from your perspective?
How i made you feel

i was doing, while

Screwing you
