Sunshine Bathe Me

Feel the sunshine,
Bathe me.
Warm my soul.
Heart-warming.
Heart warming.
Lately life been crazy.
Won't fall in that black hole.
Never again.
No fear to expose troubles within.
Thick skin lotioned.
Inner turmoil thinning.
She taught me how to smile again.
Makes me laugh and grin, had no choice but to fall in love with living.
Her eyes see what I'm missing.
Inner lights lit.
No cap.
Heart exposed all over her front doormat.
Not my usual format.
Always kept my cool since school days.
Far from cool, tongues out, drooling.
Don't know how to control that from happening, I'm a fool.
Falling in love?
Fallen.
42 years in, finally felt my heart melting.
Next step was had always been, shut down or start running.
Don't look back.
Nowadays, with her,
I don't ever wanna' hold back.
No time for that.
Love is infinite, time is not.
Sunshine fills my soul.
Her eyes, moon and stars sparkle, sparkling, feel alive.
Contagious positivity even with negative surroundings all around me.
All who see her smile,
Love follows.
Commitment and love set me free. Feel the sunshine of her heart and soul bathe you and me.

About this poem

Expressing my feelings for a lady friend. Vulnerability isn't one of my strengths. I'm now 42 and have decided to make it one of my strengths and writing songs and poetry to start working on myself and making positive changes.
