Forgetfulness

Forgetfulness

My fear is never dreaming or smiling;
to be asleep in the world of those who live;
to be lost in the eyes of the blind,
like a camouflaged chameleon.

to be in a place without delight, without imagination,
to be in the world and not feel,
to be in silent corners, without existence,
like a wolf in selfless forest

being in stories of the past, never told;
to be fragile, unable to shout a word,
just a puff, no dust,
like a lamp on a sunny morning.

About this poem

I wrote this poem when I realized the fear I have of being forgotten, not existing is a void, being nothing, like a wind in time, I write so that the world can read me, being read and forgotten is scary.
