Crown

Casey Gabby 2009 (Cape Town)

I don't want your crown
Or the riches that you may hoard.
I don't seek your praise
Or the power, I try to avoid.

I don't want your crown,
I want your love.
I don't want your praise.
I want your heart.
I don't want your treasures,
I want your kiss.
I don't want your glory,
I want your bliss.
I don't need your riches,
I want your trust.
I don't need your titles,
I need your touch.

I don't need your crown,
I want you and only you.
Not just the title you hold
so dear.
But all of you here
to adore.
Let us be equal in this life
And the next,
If that should be.
For I don't want your crown.
I only want you.
