A Night Struggle

SkyMoon 1995 (California)

In this night I struggle
With the thoughts in my head
With the realization that things will never be
Why do I always do this?
In my own solitude i can be
But without your presence I can’t
If only I could know what tomorrow brings
In this vast world, has my heart fallen?
For this can only be a mirage
But I can’t to help wonder what it can be
Or at least I thought this
And now I must realize that
You are a star and I’m only human
Looking up at the night sky
I smile, with an ache in my heart
For I wish to one day be with that star

About this poem

How some very wonderful people are somewhere else far away from you. Still when you both look up it’s the same Sky.
