A new day forgives—a Haiku

A new day arrives
A fresh smell lies in the air
Forgive and forget

About this poem

I was thinking about writing a new haiku for quite a long time, but never got the right inputs to complete it. So it was even a bigger surprise to be able to write one on the way to work. And basically the meaning of the haiku is, that whatever struggles you might have, or how regretful you might be, there will always be a new day, with new challenges, happy moments, bad moments and the oppertunity to change what we have done wrong. It also symbolises, that nothing is permanent, and that a new time will arrive. And obviously, how could one be happy or satisfyed, when carrying the burdens of revenge and hate in himself? So let the new day arrive, dont think too much about what went wrong yesterday, because its all forgiven and forgotten:)
