Save Me

Anthony Cochran 1982 (Chicago)

Life full of misery
And with pain for an eternity
A heart so empty
With no signs of sympathy
Leaving in a hell's damnation
Praying for an everlasting salvation
I have nowhere to turn
And I'm surrounded by flames that burn
Where is this so called God?
Where is his staff or divine golden rod?
Is he going to save me
Or just let me be
I've lived too long in sin
And righteous man I've never been
And now it's way too late
Where hell fire in brimstone are my fate
I look up to the sky and I pray
Hoping he will rescue me one day
Set me free from Satan's torture
In the heaven be I forever future
