Your Sun can Shine Again
My love, why are you crying
Pick your head up, it’s okay
You are safe now
The pain will go away
It wasn’t love
It wasn’t meant to be
For true love
Is as deep as the sea
Your one is still out there
One who will always care
So in the meantime
You must learn to heal your tear
I understand how you feel
How you wish you could go back
Back to that time
When the sun would always shine
When everything felt okay
And you knew it would stay that way
But things changed
And now all that’s felt is pain
Will we ever love again?
Can we love like we loved then?
After all, storms don’t last forever
The clouds will part
And one day
It will heal your broken heart
About this poem
This poem is about dealing with the loss of a loved one. It is about accepting the situation and learning how to move on from it. I wrote the second half of this poem after losing someone very dear to my heart. The first half was written shortly after my friend went through a similar situation. I decided to put the two poems together and dedicate it to my friend.
