Soul Connection

My soul reaches out
seeking your soul,
Did I know You in this World? In this lifetime?
Or past?
Or future?
Or thru the event horizon of a
black hole?
The velocity needed to
escape the event
horizon of a black hole
exceeds the
speed of light
which is the speed
Limit of the cosmos
I read that almost culture has
Music.
My soul recognizes your
Music and hers and his
and theirs
so many possibilities
so many ways to a connection

About this poem

My mom, a life long teacher and amateur writer wrote this poem days before she passed away in my arms on the 13 th of June. She said she would have loved for it to be published but unfortunately had less time than she or I thought. I’m doing this because I love it and I loved her dearly and even though she is not on this earth she will be very happy.
