Follow Me

Brea Marie 1975 (Saginaw, Michigan)

July 23

WHEN YOU CAN''T SEE PAST THE PAIN,
WHEN YOU GET KNOCKED DOWN
AGAIN AND AGAIN,
WHEN YOU"RE HURTING AND IT'S
DRIVING YOU INSANE,
FOLLOW ME.
WhEN THE WORLD OFFERS YOU
NOTHING BUT SADNESS,
WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE SLIDING INTO MADNESS,
WHEN YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN'T
BE FORGIVEN FOR YOUR BADNESS,
FOLLOW ME.

I'LL SHINE A LIGHT IN THE DARK
I'LLL HELP YOU STAND WHEN YOU FALL
I'LL BE THE BALM TO HEAL YOUR HEART
I CAN MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE.
I'LL BE THE JOY WHEN YOURE SAD
I'LL CALM YOUR TEARS WHEN YOU CRY
l'LL LET YOU SCREAM WHEN YOUR MAD
I'LL HEAL YOUR HEART
IF YOU JUST FOLLOW ME.

WHEN YOU CANT SEE PAST YOUR MISTAKES,
WHEN YOUR ANGER IS TOO GREAT,
WHEN YOURE WORIED ABOUT YOUR FATE,
FOLLOW ME.

WHEN THE WORLD OFFERS YOU EMPTINESS,
I WILL GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE STRESS,
HELP YOU ESCAPE YOUR MESS,
BUT YOU MUST FOLOW ME.

I'LL SHINE A LIGHT IN THE DARK
I'LL HELP YOU STAND WHEN YOU FALL
I'LL BE THE BALM TO HEAL YOUR HEART
I WILL MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE.
I'LL BE YOUR JOY WHEN YOU"RE SAD
I'LL WIPE YOUR TEARS WHEN YOU CRY
ILL LET YOU SCREAM WHEN YOU'RE MAD
I'LL HEAL YOUR HEART
IF YOU JUST FOLLOW ME...
FOLLOW ME

About this poem

God spoke to me through His Word that no matter the situation, He is always there if we trust Him and follow Him, despite the anger, resentment, or sadness.
