Ash to Ash

On the surface a smile to melt your heart
On the inside just playing a part
Saddened soul with head held low
Never able to get control
Ashamed of letting them down
Loved ones in the backround
Never able to get a grip
Waiting for the next slip
The last time was the last time
Now all that’s left is to shine
Lift your head and spread your wings
It’s time to let go of all those things
It broke our hearts to lose your light
But now it’s time to end the fight
Be at peace my darling friend
I’ll keep you inside till we meet again
