A phase

missing you hurts
it hurts so much that it has me feeling blue
“Why hasn’t he seen it yet?”
“why hasn’t he replied yet?”
looking at the ‘delivered “ and I knew
i knew you no longer cared
i knew it was only a phase
a phase where you cared about me
A phase about you and me
where you told me how pretty I was
a phase where you were only bored
A phase where I felt like an award
According to you I had a value
With you I felt special I felt safe
you knew you were the key
the key to what I’ve been hiding
beneath all these smiles, meantime
waiting for your text every nighttime
So why, tell me why after all these times
seeing you walk out after getting what u want, hurt me
In the end, I no longer see the good in you
That I once did.
