A song for Junito

Sheila V 1970 (Chicago)

I sing this song to you in penned form.

Taking it slow letting my poetic vocals warm.

You're my reason to make these letters hum.

The rhythm of my rhymes are my runs.

With each letter of the alphabet, I riff.

To you, I write this song with my fingertips.

My poetic becomes the lyrics that serenade with a silent echo.

From vibrating of aesthetics out- flows a falsetto.

Inhale my unsung song, my bonito.

I sung it for you and I named it Junito.

About this poem

I always wanted to be a singer, I can hold a tune somewhat, but I can't really sing. This poem expresses my desire to have singing talent. How I would serenade my husband and impress him with my song.
