You always You.

Years passed by, without you near,
"Sometime" fails to capture,
the memories I hold dear.
My eyes well up, with no rain in sight,
Realizing you're not here, no solace in sight.

Love was once empty, just a barren word,
You turned it into poetry, emotions unheard.
At eighteen, beside you, life felt complete,
Time flew with joy, moments so sweet.

Together we shared a tale,
you and me,
But you saw me as a page,
not what I hoped to be.
You pursued another butterfly,
my heart felt goodbye,
I remain on that bench alone, with a sigh.

Still, my steps stumble, seeking only you,
Feeling like a cheater, with someone new.
Though you're not my universe's moon, it's true, My heart finds solace, in thoughts of you.

Did I know you, the real you behind the veil?
Was the night you showed me, genuine and not frail?
In that fleeting smile, when your gaze met mine, Sometimes I thought I knew you, sometimes no sign.

You came unexpectedly, a miraculous surprise, Unveiling my hidden  side,
a secret language to devise.
I remain an unsolved puzzle,
awaiting your hand,
Forever locked,
a mystery you'll never understand.

As I watched you depart,
I asked "what if" anew,
Yet I set you free,
before drowning in the blue.
In the last chapter of our tale, a plea I impart,
 If the world wearies you,
come home to my heart.

Even if you didn't reach the story's end,
I fold our page's corner,
a cherished blend.
The book I long to bury,
 memories entwined,
Yet I store it, forever etched in my mind.
