The Rules of Life to Minimize Stress and Strife
The Rules of Life to Minimize Stress and Strife
Gary Shulman, MS. Ed.

Right off the bat let me declaratively state
No expert am I about guaranteeing a happy fate
For mistakes lord knows I have made in life
The resulting effect being stress and strife
But let me expostulate and freely fantasize
Some thoughts if I may, to help spirits to rise
And perhaps to avoid some foibles ahead
So with kindness I will share and gently tread
If you live your life not genuinely being you
Your soul will suffer and true happiness eschew
If you choose to deride and focus on strife
The reflection in the mirror will cut sharp as a knife
If your passions are ignored and swept aside
Your psyche will explode until your spirit has died
I know external pressures can be virulent and strong
I know sometimes it’s difficult to ignore the shouting throng
But the bottomline if I might offer, is simple, clear and true
Life was meant to be fully lived by the fiercely genuine YOU!
