A Canvas Made Of Life

I like when you laugh at my jokes
But please don’t laugh at my words
I won’t cry
But I wouldn’t forgive you,
I love you too much

Would you like to paint something?
Something beautiful?
You bring the light in my life
I’ll shade you with darkness
But I know you say I don’t

Do you want to hear about my creative process?
About how I revisited this poem,
because I felt I could do better the second time?
1332 words so far
None of them are worth your time

Do you like the sketches I made for you?
My muses, all of you
The pantheon behind all that I create
All so beautiful
I’m not enough for any of you

Each of you say you care about me
But you shouldn’t
I don’t deserve it yet
Wait! don’t leave me here to rot,
I can’t lose sight of you all again
