TROPICAL BLISS
Susan Campbell 1968 (Alabama)
I want to go
Where the sea kisses the shore,
The turquoise waters shimmer and dance,
And salt and Coppertone fill the air.
I want to go
Where I can sit in the soft, white sand,
Hear the song of the playful seagulls,
And the crash of the pounding waves.
I want to go
Where I can watch people fishing from the pier,
And the palm fronds flutter and sway,
And sail boats cruise by carried by the wind.
I want to go
Where the worries of life are a thousand miles away,
Where time seems to stand still,
And the evening sun paints a beautiful sky.
About this poem
Just another piece about my favorite place on earth, the beach.
