You Soothe My Soul

I love listening to the sound of your voice;
it is the voice I listen for when I'm in doubt,
it is the tone I listen for when I'm in need,
and it is the calming pitch I listen for when I question life.

I love looking into your eyes;
they are the color I look for when I need reassurance,
they are the shape I look for when I need to feel desired,
and they completely make me melt when I look deep into them.

I love the way you smile while looking at me;
it is the smile I look for when I'm feeling silly,
it is the smile I look for when we make each other laugh,
and it is your contagious smile that makes me feel alive.

I love every moment of our marriage;
it is the love I need to survive,
it is the love every woman desires from her man,
and it is the love I only dream to know from you,
the man who soothes my soul.

About this poem

From the moment I met my husband at age 17, we knew we were soulmates and destined to be together. We married 7 years later and will celebrate our 25th anniversary this year (2023). This poem is my heart speaking directly to his, for all to see..I hope everyone has a chance to feel this kind of love in their lifetime..

Happily married for almost 25 years to my Soulmate, and we are living our dream in Southwest Florida! We recently rescued a 4 yr old kitty, Oliver after saying goodbye to our beloved and unbelievably missed 13 yr old pup, Bella. Hoping to rescue another pup in a few months! Love expressing myself through words and enjoy sharing it with others! more…

    I just really loved this poem! Descriptive, uplifting, brought me smiles, and the example of how husbands and wives should look at each other.
