Morning Darkness

Full of light with no fears,
that was my first five years.
Suddenly without warning,
darkness swallowed my morning.
One touch, two touch, three touch,
tears began to form hearing a voice say it won't hurt
   much.
Fire and pain spread,
then something warmed my bed.
Threats of anger and harm spewed in my face,
a time I find can't be erased.
Days, weeks, months turned to years,
fault is mine so I dry up the tears.

An act of taboo forced to live,
later to control me stealing what I wouldn't give.
Outsides normal while screaming inside,
I hear him coming no time to hide.
Couldn't pass up my door,
the voice saying "I'm back for more".

One touch, two touch, three touch,
finally doesn't hurt much.
Follow orders such a good little girl,
ENOUGH.....found my voice,
only to regret that choice.
Lier and attention seeker is what they said,
I was just another depressed teen wishing to be dead.
One slice, two slice,
feels so nice.
As I lay there to die,
all I could hear was my Momma cry.
Someone else hurting my fault once again,
wishing life was different dreaming of what could have
  been.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because it's something I went through in my childhood. As a child I was confused about what was happening to me and felt as I was all alone, but as I grew up and became an adult I found that there are so many out there that go through similar situations!
