Lazy Summer Days

Floating on a float with creampuff smiles,
and seafoam for miles.
Flipping hot sand through my perky toes.
Adding sun warmed lotion to my sunburned nose.
Watching the seagulls searching for more
as sandpipers scamper along the shore.
Discovering that treasure, that seashell for me,
so graciously placed by the Lady of the Sea.
How I long for those lazy days of summer's
soul caressing grace.
