when you weren’t ready to be loved

that was broken but not by me

i helped you and filled a void
you fell in love with having someone
someone like me
someone there
someone who loved you for you
despite of flaws and rumors
our romance grew
but it became to much for you
i was too much for you
you thought you were better off alone
and so you took my heart with you
but you didn’t just take it
you destroyed it
you threw it against the floor
and smashed it into dust
now i know that  sometimes my love can’t be enough
you put me through hell
but now i’m on the other side
i can’t tell you how many tears i’ve cried
but now i’m on the other side
my friends tell me that i deserve better
and i know that they are right
but to tell you the truth
i will never forget the night
when i realized my love for you was no longer equal to yours for me
and that realization destroyed me
