Free verse
I trusted you
If only I knew
That what we had
Would end so bad

I trusted you with my heart
I trusted you with my secrets
But you left me in the dark
You left me speechless

With sharp shards
And deep scars
You left me
Like broken glass

About this poem

It's about relationships, in all forms, that are negative and that causes emotional pain. The poem is about someone who trusted another and gave up everything in life to make them happy only to realize that the person the thought they knew was not really true and know they are struggling to accept it.
