Bondage after independence

In the tales that was told;
Our enslaved country strive and fought ;
Even under constraint for liberty.

Masses support for independence
From whites slavery in disguise,
Brainwashing us likewise.

While plebians were puny;
They all thought we were on par with our leaders
And had the same fury to their luxury.

We simply wanted independence
They wanted control to bondage of
citizens
 Few years after a diamond jubilee; our land is still struggling .

Living in Bondage after acclaimed freedom;
The power mongers dictate to themselves
The tales be told with tears ;
Nigeria is still a kindergarten after sixty-two years.

"Insecurities"  the order of the time
The future of the youths hanging on the line without care
The cries of the common people spelling the doom.

In the history we're writing
Let it be known that there's a country that enslaved her own citizen
That Nigeria is living in Bondage after independence.
