American Tears

When I look outside, you know what I see?
America dying before our eyes.
The more you try to speak the truth
They think your telling lies.

Our freedoms are being taken away
They're going after our kids,
But call you crazy when trying to explain
And I can tell you why that is.

We've been conditioned to believe
That what the news reports is fact.
Just to keep us under control,
So that they can stay on track.

They want us fighting with eachother
Believing we can never trust anyone.
By the time they come to take us over
We won't have anywhere else to run.

We have successfully divided ourselves
With religion,  politics and race.
Of course we got a little push
From the ones who put this all in place.

Family against family,  friend against friend
So we'll never notice what they stole.
What can we do to save our country?
What can we do to save our soul?

Cell phones, TV, movies and games
Distractions to keep us all asleep,
So that we won't put up much of a fight
When they come to herd us like sheep.

We use to be the greatest country in the world
When our flag was raised it came with respect.
What this country has now turned into
Is not what my father fought to protect.

I always thought the differences we had
Was what made America so great.
We would try to listen with open minds
And squash those who turned to hate.

We are all Americans born free in this land
We need to stand together to take it back.
For that is what government truly fears
A united America that will not crack.

Please wake up to the evils being done.
Our country is on a steep decline.
For those of you who turn your back,
God said, "Vengeance is mine."
