Addiction

Nida Khan 1997 (Peshawar)

I have come to realize
I am a manic
I crave your undivided attention
I crave your closeness
I crave your love
When you are not near
I wait for others to leave
So I can pull out my phone
A simple message is enough for me
To bring a smile on my face
My heart skips beats and starts dancing
You are my personal supply of dopamine
I am addicted to how you make me feel
Seems like I can never get enough
When we are together I feel ecstatic
But once you are gone, I go through withdrawal
I got distraught that you are not around
And I am left with you by my side
To soothe my soul, I sit and wait
Until you message me and dopamine hits me Once again

About this poem

This is a pure feeling of love, someone do with me. And I respect this addiction.
