A Note to My Lovely

Robert C Oppido 1961 (Camden, New Jersey)

June 23

As I sit at my workstation and telephone at Hand
I begin to think of my lovely, wearing our wedding band.
You are perfect to me in every way; I can’t wait ‘til the break of day.
On my way home my heart starts to flutter.
Because of my Lovely, you melt me like butter.
As I get out of the car and look at my home.
One thing I know for sure, I am not alone.
As I approach the door, my heart skips a beat.
Because I know on the other side, I will see you and my love is complete.
I asked Tori, how she feels about you.
She turned to me and said, “ I love mommy, too!
I like how mommy puts on make-up, she has a gorgeous smile, she’s beautiful and sweet.”
Then I interviewed Adam without missing a beat.
He tells me, “ I love mommy she’s very caring.”
This is something he doesn’t mind sharing.
Then he tells me, “ You’re giving, forgiving and kind.”
In the hopes that you really don’t mind.
I am almost done now, let me see.
It is now time to interview, Justy.
Justy tells me, “ My mom is beautiful like a rose.”
This is one thing that he knows.
Also he said, “ I love her, she’s a special gift to me.
That is daddy, my reality.”
Robin, my lovely, this is note.
Just a little something I sat down and wrote.

                               Love You Forever                                            Your Bo

A love letter to his one and only, but from the whole family. Different. Sincere. Inclusive. Heartfelt. Worthy.
