You stayed

TBrownrigg 1974 (Usa)

I felt lost
No direction in which to choose
Unsure, lonely and afraid
Walls so high to keep myself safe

I met you
We talked, we fought
I tried to
Run away from you
But you stayed
I pushed you away as a safety net
You stayed , told me I was stuck
We talked
Slowly
My walls came down

I feel
Safe and loved
I know which way to go now
Because you helped me find myself
And you stayed
