A lost boy

A boy named Codey, life was quite hard,
The reality of his life was blurred.
The drugs and alcohol could take their toll,
He felt like his life was out of control.

Detention centers, jails and prisons,
The choices he made, far from Wise ones.
But a chance to turn it all around,
The chance of a son he had never found.

The little boy he came back to his life,
Just gave him hope and remove strife.
He knew he had to face his fears,
As he looked again into the mirrors.

He slowly made his way to recovery,
Overcoming drugs, alcohol and everything else life through At him.
His life was now filled with clarity,
His loss sense of reality was gone, finally.
