Never

God never is surprised to see
The choices that we make,
Though disappointed He will be
When rules of His we break.

He never is distracted or
Comes help when it's too late.
Nor does He do too little for
The times of tearful fate.

He never gives to us the "things"
That we deserve instead,
The cross showed grace that He still brings,
By which the soul is fed.
