Free verse
How did I lose you and us?
Just by words unsaid, and moments missed
How did we miss the chance we had?
Just by fear and hesitation, that we were not enough

We would never know what could have been
And we could have been something beautiful
We would never bring back the time lost
Spent not together, and a life far apart from each other

The passing of years regardless
Could not contain my yearning for you and us
Is there a future in this lifetime worth living for
Where there is you, beside me, our lives entwined
