The Boundary of Fame

Basudev Karmakar 1974 (West Bengal , India)

Boundary of Fame
Infinite is that to what you’re
Uninfected; the community
Is not overcast and rebels never,
Showers seeds over your credulity.

Except love, the infinite race
Of name and fame ever lie
Scattered after a death-space.
Whom to mortgage the  crown comes a try!

Boundary of appetite or greed
Those who mark and reside,
Battle never to crave any lead;
Die peacefully, not woe-betide.

Once a miser lay buried
A piece of gold and his spirit
Ever haunted and hurried,
Found none, honest to his credit.

About this poem

Other than love everything from name to Fame has a Boundary. If you cross it, it gets burden to you. As a result you cannot die peacefully before having a right heir to your property.
