When darkness falls
Darkness has fallen there's no seeing around,
I open my mouth but there is no sound.
With no light in sight I hit My knees,
I hide from him but he's demanding his fees.
Along time ago I was surrounded by lights so pretty,
Until the day he tricked me into darkness he was so witty.
That pretty light it turned into pain,
He let lose his dragon it ripped through my vein.
After time good memories faded along with family and friends,
With one lie after another I'm afraid there will be no amends.
He's released his demons casting some spell,
He promised me heaven but I'm living in hell.
One day I'm laying so weak and alone,
And I see this little light from way out in the unknown.
Is this him playing a trick on me,
Or has someone really found me could I really be free?
I hear this voice so soft and so sweet,
Calling me to her so we could finally meet.
I pick my limp body up off of the cold ground,
And I slowly move towards this angelic little sound.
I finally approach this beautiful bright being,
After a short minute she finally starts speaking.
She said God has not forgotten even though you've lost your way,
It's true the devil has his hold on you child but you do not have to stay.
He's poisoned your body with addictions so plenty,
Taking all your time but you do not owe him any.
You might think there's no going back but see God will always forgive,
For a long time ago he gave his own life so we could live.
