Absurd

The life I am given
Is somewhat absurd.

I get all these poems
Then forget what I heard.

Can't remember what I have done.

Where are my glasses?
Why I am, so dumb?

I seem to get by
On the smell of a rag.

Truth is I am rich!
Best life ever had!

To lay with poems
Running like a hose,

Does make it harder
But eventually I dose.

And sleep like a baby
Hoping tomorrow will bring,

You as my memory
In the songs we will sing.
