my heart

dan lambrix 1962 (highland park)

My Heart
When the doctor told me my heart was only working 10%, i could not even breathe.

My wife was bold and brave, and told me to believe.

i was sad and scared, and i had to wipe away my own tears.

She was crying also, as we faced all our fears.

my life on Earth was over now, i will miss my family the most.

at my funeral friends will tell funny stories, and jokes about me like a roast.

When you think of life on Earth, and all those loving years.

clouds, flowers, and trees, and the mystery of humans as we disappear.

trials and tribulations, learning and strife.

did i make a difference, in my familys  life.

from heaven ill give you a great big hug, you will feel it as gentle breeze of from above.

while i'm gone and i look at you from above, p.s. i'll send down my love.
