A Man Named Steve

Paula Asher Hodges 1970 (Albany Georgia)

The animals are crying for a man Steve;
 It's just so hard for all to believe.

That something so precious could be taken away;
He impacted all life on Earth and his short stay.

But I believe his mission will go on;
In his children's hands they must be strong.

I believe in his will to fight;
Cause all God's creatures has a purpose in life.

We must continue what he set out to do;
So he can smile down and won't feel so blue.

Because he is watching from heaven above; Of the job we're doing in the name of love.

As time goes by my heart still breaks;
For a man named Steve we miss you mate!
