PUZZLE PIECES

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I have been stuck in this moment of reflection for days putting together memories together just like puzzle pieces, and with every cardboard cut out, I started to find my natural calling, my true peace, and it is not for the faint at heart.

How can you reflect on the pages of your life that you did not write without any regret? How did I survive this long without a book to read or a song to sing? What side of the uncharted sea do I want to be?

Pieces of a jigsaw puzzle with their little damn jagged little edges. Some of those little demons made me bleed; some were the parts I needed to feed.

I, at last, found the frame to hang this million-piece puzzle up in the hills. I never had the patience or the love to settle down, not that I am starting to finish to be these last couple of puzzle pieces together. I sip my tea and eat the last of my food till I have my fill. I look at this puzzle that once was only a game, and I smile because I never noticed on the box it wears a name
