Racism
Racism, a distorted lens
Through which we see the world
A concept created by men
Used to label and categorize
On the basis of skin colour, body shape and hair texture
But at the end of the day
We are all just human beings.
We may come from different places and backgrounds
But we all share this common earth
It's time to break down the walls
And let love and acceptance be the foundation
It's time to see each other as human beings.
And embrace the richness that our diversity brings
Let's hold hands and walk as one
Let's speak up against hate and discrimination
Race should never dictate our fate,
By colour or ethnicity
But by our character and morality. So, let us stand together, hand in hand,
And fight for what we know is right. Let us break the walls of division
And embrace difference with pride.
About this poem
We should join hands together to vanquish the disease called Racism. We should be able to judge people through goodness of their hearts, rather than their outward appearance.
