Broken

Like a lock with no key we’re stuck together
Bonded by blood we try and face whatever
But this family is different, this family is broken
A broken heart when someone takes it
I wish I weren’t like this but I have to admit it
We don't work anymore
Mom doesn't love dad and dad gave up even though he swore
He swore we would all be okay
But now this family has turned into doomsday
Mom doesn't involve in my life enough and Dad doesnt get me
Sometimes I just wish I could flee
But then there’s my brother
He’s like my other, my other half
My partner in crime
I can’t leave him, not with this broken family
Not locked in without a key
So I stay and I cry and I slowly die
Waiting until I’m 18 hoping that when I leave
I hope my partner in crime will forgive
Forgive me for leaving him
So I say farewell to this broken family
I wish we could be the perfect family…but that's not us
