You walk in there, the room silent
You look around and see people
No faces, still just silent
You clench your hands tight and wonder
Can they see me?
Am I that unrecognizable?
No, no this can't be, just breathe
I see me and the person who I am supposed to be
I'll just close my eyes
Maybe then being the same,
Fitting in, will make me more recognizable?
No, I need to open my eyes
They need to see me
They need to know that I'm this person
The person who is me, the me I'm supposed to be
