Sometimes you feel alone
Especially when people don’t answer the phone
You have a drink
And you think
Am I the only person who feels this way
Do others drink and lose their way
Do I persevere
And wonder if someone hears
Or am I alone
And need to make it on my own

About this poem

I often feel alone at night when friends and family don’t answer the phone I wonder if it’s me they don’t want to talk to or whether they don’t realise I’m feeling alone
