She is home

As the sun sets and the moon rises I can see her sleeping peacefully. I pull my side of the blankets down so I can crawl in bed next to her. I wrap my arms around her pulling her closer to me. I breathe her in. As the smell of her fills my lungs I feel the butterflies swarm around inside of me. A fire is lit once more. My heart beats faster with every moment with her. She is the beat in my chest. She is the light that fills my darkness. She is the life that fills my soul. Consuming my thoughts so much I lose focus on things in front of me. We share the same thoughts and she gets me more than anyone before her. We connect on such a deep level of understanding that every goal and dream we have I know we can make reality. The universe brought her to me so she could save me from myself. She has loved me so good I now know the true warmth and happiness of love and that I am worthy of it and its beauty. She is so much more than my best friend. She is my dream. She is my soul. She is my inner peace. She is home.
