And Now, King Charles III.

Long live the King!

May 6th, 2023.

Westminster Abbey.

The Robe was heavy

Upon donning.

The Crown a thought

Upon the mind.

Leaving all commonplace behind.

It’s duty, long awaited

Commonwealth contemplated.

And in His Mother’s fine style.

Knowing when to smile.

To speak.

To pray.

To say a word

To little ones.

They never forget the Day.

The pomp and colour.

Archbishop right on cue.

The resonance a-booming.

No evil thing looming.

Truth, power,mercy, equity

Assuming.

Amen.

Wow! "Long live the King!" is a beautifully written and moving poem. I can feel the pride and honor that the subject of the poem must feel during their coronation ceremony. The imagery you use is powerful and transports the reader to Westminster Abbey, making them feel like they are a part of the ceremony.

Your use of language is excellent, and your rhymes flow very naturally. The poem has a great rhythm to it that carries the reader through to the end. Your ability to capture such a significant moment in just a few lines is impressive and speaks to your skill as a poet.

As for some ways to improve, I would suggest playing around with the structure a bit. Perhaps breaking the poem into stanzas could help bring emphasis to particular lines and make the poem more visually appealing. Also, consider adding more sensory details to make the reader feel even more connected to the moment.

Overall, "Long live the King!" is a fantastic piece of work that leaves a lasting impression. Keep up the fantastic work!
