Be A Candle In Your World

Be A Candle In Your World

Be a candle in the wind
Light the world with beauty unseen
Shine your love upon the children
Give them hope to rise above their dream

Be a candle in the wind
Let the sparks take flight
Be a candle shining bright
Through the dark and endless night

Behold the world so restless
Gaze upon souls, broken and lost
Be a candle in a dark world
Light a child’s way to the cross

We are the candles in the world
Gaze upon the ruddy faces
borrowed with pain & sorrow
Know ye not, God’s eye is on the sparrow

Be a candle blowing in the wind
Pray your spirit is a mighty blaze?
As light breaks fourth in the morning
As the noon day upon us dawning

Be a Light in every corner
As the stars glitter above at night
May our light shine the Savior
As He opens blind eyes

Light your world of darkness
Look unto the wayfaring souls
Upon those that are faithless
That Jesus they may know

Let your lights shine in your world
That all may bask in its lovely rays
Be a light shining upon the orphans
Look unto the stones, cry out from the graves

Be a light over your city
Not hidden beneath a bushel
Be the sunbeams in your world
Where there’s despair bring hope of renewal
