Money

I am everything you can't live without.
I make people scream I make people shout.
Even  ones in love will fight over me.
For I am societies biggest priority.

Your children won't understand
that your time is not free.
So they only get a little the rest is for me.
When you pass they will have little memories of you.
But rest assured they will battle each other for me threw and threw.

For I am the prize worth more than life.
I am the reason you toss and turn at night.
You will work every hour of everyday.
Just to have me saved away.

You may miss event's and time with friend.
Because don't forget the need for me never ends.
You will chase me your entire life
just to realize you should have put up a fight.

I tear apart families, and friends alike.
Don't you remember, I'm more important than life.
It will leave you exhausted your chase for me.
It will leave you depressed, missing glee.

They tell you I am the most important thing.
Your life is meaningless and impossible without me.

What you don't know is you can't buy back time. You can't buy connection or a child's smile.
You can buy clothes and houses, even jet planes.
You cannot buy nights, years, or even days.

You are told I am the most important thing but when you leave this earth it's not me you will bring.

It's nice to have me and needed now.
But you could have it all and still be lonely somehow.
They tell you I am the most important thing,
but I am only money, I'm not actually needed for the life of human beings.
