You and I

The first time we met.... you made me sick,
but I fell in love and I knew it was meant to be.

It was truly love at first site.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

I was so happy at what the future would hold for us.

I always looked forward to your presence everyday.

Your smile, those eyes! I couldn't get enough!

You filled me with hopes and dreams.

It took some time, but we got to know each other.

Our likes, our dislikes. we even share the same love for music.

My favorite song, was the sound of your heartbeat and the day you finally called me mom.

About this poem

My daughter is the light of my life. I was told for years I couldn't have children. However: the universe blessed me with my almost 8 yr old little girl. I have so much to teach her, and so much to learn myself. I can't wait for her to grow up, but for now, I enjoy kissing her bobos and making sure her night light works.
