A Nobody

Why weep
why mourn
why complain?--
because a somebody
has kicked the bucket.

Only yesterday,
a man, like you and me,
was being devoured by vultures.
We all saw the sordid sight
and remained unruffled, unperturbed, unconcerned,
because a nobody was involved.

But today
we are all wailing;
we have declared
a special holiday--a national mourning day,
because a somebody
has passed away.

God created man
and made them equal
but man created class
to exploit his fellow man

About this poem

Society is made up of the rich, powerful, and influtiental class; the political juggernauts, the captain's of industries, and the Wretched of the earth( Franz Fanon), who are heroes of mankind, and the nobodies, nonentities, who are the scum of society.
