Afraid to die;
yes,
afraid to die,
but living in misery.
Yes, in misery;
Which one is better?
To die?
but, I am afraid:
To live?
But in misery:
I'm in dilemma.

About this poem
Death is an inevitable event, but no one finds it easy to die, even at a good old age. In Igbo culture, many names have emanated as people try to portray death in various perspectives. " Onwubiko"... "death", "we beg you." "Onwuama enyi"... "death shows no mercy, even to a friend." "Onwudinjo" is bad, or evil."
